On 25th February 2024, seven state-of-the-art Microbiology Food Testing Laboratories were inaugurated as part of a national initiative.
This milestone forms part of a larger project covering 30 laboratories across India. The objective is clear: strengthen food safety and quality testing systems nationwide.
Each laboratory features modern instrumentation, modular infrastructure, and advanced testing systems. As a result, these facilities ensure accurate, reliable, and efficient food analysis in line with regulatory standards.

The Microbiology Food Testing Laboratory in Meerut was designed and developed by Asian Scientific Industries to enhance food safety testing capabilities.

National Food Laboratory
The National Food Laboratory, Kolkata, stands as one of India’s premier facilities dedicated to ensuring food quality, safety, and regulatory compliance under the guidelines of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Mr. Pawan Aggarwal, CEO of FSSAI, inaugurated the country’s first state-of-the-art Microbiology Food Testing Laboratory, marking a major milestone in strengthening India’s food testing network.
Equipped with advanced analytical instruments, microbiology and chemical testing units, modular infrastructure, and robust safety systems, the laboratory conducts a wide range of analyses including microbial contamination, nutritional profiling, and chemical residue testing. The facility has been designed to ensure precision, efficiency, and reliability across all testing operations.
We executed the complete design, setup, and commissioning of this advanced laboratory, ensuring seamless workflow, optimal space utilization, and adherence to international standards. The National Food Laboratory plays a crucial role in supporting India’s mission for safe, hygienic, and high-quality food for all.
BSL-2 & BSL-3 Laboratories
Asian Scientific Industries has successfully established state-of-the-art BSL-2 and BSL-3 laboratories across India. These facilities are located in Rohtak, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jhansi, Allahabad, Shillong, and other regions.
These laboratories were developed under national health and research programs. Their purpose is to strengthen infectious disease diagnosis, containment, and biomedical research capabilities.
