07 Food Testing Labs Inaugurated Nationwide by Narendra Modi

On 25th February 2024, Asian Scientific Industries proudly inaugurated 07 state-of-the-art Microbiology Food Testing Laboratories at the State Public Health Laboratory.

This milestone forms part of a comprehensive national project comprising 30 laboratories across India, aimed at strengthening the country’s food safety and quality testing infrastructure. Each laboratory is equipped with advanced instrumentation, modular setups, and modern designs to ensure accurate, reliable, and efficient testing performance in compliance with regulatory standards.

Microbiology Food Testing Laboratory

The Microbiology Food Testing Laboratory in Meerut has been designed and developed by Asian Scientific Industries to ensure safe and high-quality food testing by accurately identifying and analyzing microbial contamination in diverse food samples.

At ASIND, we established a modern, fully equipped microbiology facility featuring advanced analytical instruments, modular laboratory furniture, biosafety systems, and controlled environmental conditions.

Our team executed the complete setup—from layout planning and infrastructure development to installation, calibration, and validation—ensuring the laboratory meets all regulatory and quality standards.

National Food Laboratory

The National Food Laboratory, Kolkata, stands as one of India’s premier facilities dedicated to ensuring food quality, safety, and regulatory compliance under the guidelines of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Mr. Pawan Aggarwal, CEO of FSSAI, inaugurated the country’s first state-of-the-art Microbiology Food Testing Laboratory, marking a major milestone in strengthening India’s food testing network.

Equipped with advanced analytical instruments, microbiology and chemical testing units, modular infrastructure, and robust safety systems, the laboratory conducts a wide range of analyses including microbial contamination, nutritional profiling, and chemical residue testing. The facility has been designed to ensure precision, efficiency, and reliability across all testing operations.

We executed the complete design, setup, and commissioning of this advanced laboratory, ensuring seamless workflow, optimal space utilization, and adherence to international standards. The National Food Laboratory plays a crucial role in supporting India’s mission for safe, hygienic, and high-quality food for all.

BSL-2 & BSL-3 Laboratories

We have successfully established state-of-the-art BSL-2 and BSL-3 laboratories in various parts of India, including Rohtak, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jhansi, Allahabad, Shillong, and several other locations. These facilities were developed as part of national health and research programs to strengthen the country’s capacity for infectious disease diagnosis, containment, and research.

Each laboratory has been designed and executed in compliance with international biosafety and bio-containment standards, featuring air-tight construction, controlled ventilation systems, HEPA filtration, and advanced safety mechanisms to ensure the protection of personnel and the environment.

Through meticulous planning, installation, and validation, we have delivered secure, efficient, and fully compliant laboratory environments that support critical biomedical and public health research initiatives across India.
